A qualification in carpentry can provide you with a trade outcome, giving you the skills to further or start your career, and covers work in residential and commercial applications.
The Certificate III in Carpentry qualification has a core unit of competency requirement that covers the most common skills required for the construction industry, as well as a specialist field of work.
The construction industry strongly affirms that training and assessment leading to the recognition of skills must be undertaken in a real or very closely simulated workplace environment, and this qualification requires all units of competency to be delivered in this context.
It is important to note that the completion of the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (ASCC 2007) is required before entering a construction work site. Achievement of unit CPCCOHS1001A covers this requirement.

Once you have successfully completed the Certificate III in Carpentry CPC30220, you can expect to gain a wide range of skills and knowledge, in addition to a trade outcome in carpentry, covering work in residential and commercial applications.
The Certificate III in Carpentry qualification lays the foundation for a significant range of careers and employment pathways, including a career as a carpenter and joiner.
