This course is for learners to provide them with an intro- duction to business administration and working in a pro- fessional office environment. It introduces the learner to a range of standard business software packages which include word processing, layout and database software.
Our nationally recognised BSB30120 Certificate III in Busi- ness qualification provides comprehensive training for business administration that is applicable in a broad range of work environments. It will prepare you for a role within a business unit, working under direct supervision. You will learn skills required to perform common business-related tasks such as producing documents and building customer relationships.

BSB30120 Certificate III in Business course is suitable for all types of learners, existing workers and new entrants, who are undertaking team leadership roles. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to meet the requirements of competitive administrative skills.

Assessment Methods

Assessment processes cover a broad range of skills and knowl- edge needed to demonstrate competency. All assessments of the units of competency for this qualification are conducted in accordance with the assessment guidelines and competency standards of the official Training Package for this qualification.

Assessment methods include, but are not limited to:

  • Written Questions (eg. Multiple choice/True and False/Question and Answer)
  • Practical Observation (eg. Third Party report/ Simulated Observation/ Presentation)

Workplace Based Delivery (WPB)
(Traineeship / Apprenticeship)

Our team of professional trainer/assessors provides sup- port for students using our online learning management system, and trainers keep in regular contact with workplace students in between face-to-face or virtual training sessions.

Our trainers are specialists in their fields and committed to de- livering engaging and innovative training and assessment that meets the highest quality and compliance standards. We invest in the continued development of our trainers and support staff to ensure an exceptional experience for clients and students from enquiry to graduation

Study methods include trainer led face to face or virtual ses- sions, tutorials, self-paced online learning, workbook completion, as well as direct contact with trainer either for group or individual consultation.

Entry requirements

To gain entry to this course, the applicants must:

Workplace Based Delivery (WPB) & Competency Based Training applicants only

Apart from the above, applicants interested in WPB delivery must be employed or hold a traineeship / apprenticeship in the field at the time of applying for admission.

Recognition of Prior Learning RPL and Credit Transfer CT

Credit Transfer

Students can request a credit transfer for any unit within this qualification, provided they can prove that such units have already been awarded to them by this or any other RTO or institution. The number of viable credit transfers awarded may affect the duration of training. Original documents, copies or USI transcripts are to be provided prior to enrolment

(RPL / RCC)

At enrolment of all learning programs OIC’s code of practice states that all candidates for assessment will be offered RPL. This is reiterated in the student handbook and acknowledged in writing

RPL is an assessment process that assesses an individual’s non-formal and informal learning to determine the extent to which that individual has achieved the required learning outcomes, competency outcomes, or standards for entry to, and/or partial or total completion of a qualification.

Qualification

Upon successful completion of this course, learners are awarded BSB30120 Certificate III in Business, which is a nationally recognised qualification.
