Orange International College is monitoring the COVID-19 situation daily and is here to support students with their needs.

We would like to thank you for your understanding, patience and support during this difficult time and with transitioning to the online learning platform.

Recent Changes and Developments:

We have made the following changes to our on-campus services to support the health of our students and staff.

  • The campus is no longer offering face-to-face classes, so students are not required to come to campus.
  • Online learning is currently the delivery mode.
  • Student Services officers will continue to operate on each campus with communication  limited to emails and phone calls only.
  • Trainers will continue to teach classes completely through the online learning platform only and  there will be no face to face meetings.
  • If you would like to contact your trainer, they will be responding through email format and during your online sessions only.
  • Training support will also operate through the online learning platform only.

Question: How can I connect my Online-only delivery classes (Zoom)?

Go to google classroom and check the posted video named as Instructional Video for Accessing Online Classes”. The video was posted on 21st March 2020.

Your existing Google Classroom unit or session has been posted with a Video to watch information on how to connect to your online classes.

Question: What if I have trouble logging on to Online-only delivery session/class?

Answer: Click General Request Form and select “OIC Google Classroom” to lodge your support request.

Question: When Does my Online-only delivery commence?

Online–only Delivery commences from 23rd of March, 2020 onwards– Students will NOT BE REQUIRED to come for face-to-face classes at any of the OIC campuses (Melbourne CBD, Port Melbourne and Hobart) from 23rd of March, 2020 onwards, until further notice.

Theory: Sessions for theory component will continue via our online-only classes.

Practical Workshop: Practical Workshops that are difficult to replicate in the online environment are being reviewed and you will be updated via Google Classroom and on your Learner App.

Alternative plans and schedule for those units will be provided as further information based on the individual courses and batches/intakes.

Question: What is my timetable to attend the Online-only delivery classes?

Time Tables: Online classes are scheduled as per your current timetable. You must access information regarding your timetables via the Learner App. For any changes to student timetables, you will be informed via Google Classroom and Learner App as well.

Question: Is it mandatory to attend classes?

YES, your attendance will be monitored based on your presence in the online sessions as your trainer will be marking your attendance. The attendance will be marked twice during each session and If students are not responsive then they will be marked absent as per the session.

Question: How will I submit my Assessment?

You will be required to submit your assessment to your trainer via trainers’ email which is mentioned on Google Classroom or you can ask your trainer for their email.

Please follow the due date as mentioned on the Google Classroom.

Question: What if I cannot attend the classes due to sickness?

You must provide the Medical Certificate if you are unwell to attend the session. If your GP (General Practitioner) have advised you to not attend the for more than 2 weeks then you need to defer/suspend your studies, please follow Deferral Suspension and Cancellation Policy and submit your request through our General Request Form

“Further Clarifications Regarding Switch to Offerings Online”

Dear Students,

As you have already been informed that we have set up virtual/online classes to deal with the current COVID19 situation.

If you do not have scheduled classes during 20/03/20202 to 22/03/2020:

During this week i.e. from 20/03/2020 to 22/03/2020 (Friday to Sunday), you are not required to be present on campus and you will be sent an OIC email link and a Google classroom announcement with all the relevant information on how to join the online sessions.

If you have scheduled classes during 20/03/20202 to 22/03/2020:

During this week i.e. from 20/03/2020 to 22/03/2020 (Friday to Sunday), only the students who have scheduled classes on these days, will continue to attend face-to-face classes as usual and will be expected to bring their laptops for being trained for online learning.

23/03/2020 to 29/03/2020(transition period) Training for Online Delivery:

No On campus attendance required
Compulsory Attendance- Online Presence from home (remote), required via their eligible electronic device

During the next week i.e. 23/03/2020 to 29/03/2020(transition period), student are not required  to come to the campus, as during this week, we have scheduled training for trainers and students through  online sessions in order to take our courses and educational offerings online.

30/03/2020 until further notice:

No On campus attendance required
Compulsory Online Attendance as per your scheduled training days and time.
Online Presence required from home (remotely), via their eligible electronic device

Online delivery of training and assessment will continue from 30/03/2020 unless you are advised otherwise.

OIC Online Only Delivery Commencement

In response to growing global concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic, after careful consideration, Orange International College (OIC)has decided to move to online-only training and assessment to continue to keep our students engaged with their studies.

While there have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 connected to OIC, the decision to move to online only learning where possible is a precautionary measure to limit contact during this phase of the pandemic and minimise the risk to our staff and student community.

Transition Period-23/03/2020 to 29/03/2020: The Planned Training Sessions for online-only delivery of learning and teaching for lectures and tutorials have been scheduled from Monday, the 23rd of March until Sunday, the 29th of March to allow our students and trainers to prepare for a transition to complete online- only training and/or assessment. These decisions have also been taken to minimise the impact of current situation and to help students stay on track with their studies.

OIC will remain open for students until the 22nd of March, 2020, unless the government advises otherwise.

Online–only Delivery commencement 23rd of March, 2020 onwards: Students will not be required to come for face-to-face classes from 23rd of March, 2020 onwards, until further notice.

Sessions for theory component will continue via online only classes.

Alternative plans for units that have face-to-face requirements e.g. practicals, workshop etc. and that are difficult to replicate in the online environment are being reviewed.

Attendance: Attendance will be monitored based on your online presence on the prescribed platform (Zoom and Google Classroom). Students are expected to attend the online-only delivery sessions just the same way, as the normal face-to-face classes. All our students will need to take part in their respective online classes to avoid reassessment or repeat unit fees.

Time Tables: Till further notice, all on-campus lectures and classes will be recorded and delivered online from Monday, the 23rd of March and online lectures and classes will occur at the same time as timetabled.

You may access the information regarding your timetables via the Learner App. For any changes to student timetables, you will be informed via Google Classroom and Learner App as well.

Reminder: Please be advised that Monday, the 23rd of March until Sunday, the 29th of March is the transition period for the trainers and students to get accustomed and comfortable with the online-only delivery of learning and teaching concept, so it is mandatory for you to participate in these sessions to continue to stay engaged with your studies.

As you are aware, COVID-19 is causing disruptions to educational institutions in Australia and around the world. Orange International College is no exception.

We want to assure you that we are paying close attention to the situation. Our staff members are meeting regularly to monitor events and coordinate support for students.

We are keeping the situation under daily review and we are adjusting our planning and actions as necessary. As COVID-19 cases expand globally and Orange International College is taking the necessary steps to protect the health and safety of our student and staff community.

Looking ahead, Orange International College will follow advice from the regulatory bodies for our industry, such as ASQA, TEQSA and the Department of Education, Skills and Employment (for regular updates, please follow this link: We are also closely monitoring advice given by medical authorities on how we should conduct our operations to manage the impact of the virus. This includes planning for a range of scenarios in which our priority is the health and wellbeing of our students and staff. Depending on how the situation develops, we will adjust our course delivery and schedules so that students can continue their learning.

For now, it is important to note that your classes, assessments and course activity are continuing as normal. We will update you immediately if this changes.

We would like to encourage you to attend your classes so that you can achieve the best outcomes, particularly for compulsory attendance, which is still a requirement.

Please be advised:

  • All Students who have arrived in Australia after midnight, 15 March 2020 are required to self-isolate for 14 days: if this is your case, please send us a copy of your boarding pass (please send to
  • All students who are in Australia are required to attend classes as per their scheduled timetable:
    • If you are feeling sick and not able to attend classes, please provide a medical certificate to
    • If you are currently undergoing self-isolation, without written medical advice, please note that you will be marked as absent;
    • Re-assessment will be considered on a case by case basis.
  • We encourage all students to follow basic hygiene standards when at Campus or in public, such as covering mouth while coughing/sneezing, washing hands regularly, avoiding handshakes, etc.

In the event of the State or Federal Government shutting down colleges/schools, all classes will be held through our excellent online learning platform.

Please find below important information regarding online learning (if implemented):

  • Attendance will be marked based on login and logout details on the online learning platform;
  • If you cannot attend classes online due to illnesses, you will be required to submit a medical certificate to;
  • All assessments must be submitted within due date. If any part of your unit/assessment involves physical presence and/or demonstration, it will be rescheduled, and you will be notified accordingly;

  • In the upcoming weeks you will be trained on how to attend classes through our online learning platform, so that if a situation arises, you will be able to attend training from home.

FAQ – Fees Payment

Your fees are due on 10th of every month. Please continue to pay your fees on time.

In the midst of the fear, worry, and uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, each day seems to bring news that’s worse than the day before. The cause for concern is justified as a staggering number of people are infected by Covid-19.

Many stimulus packages are announced by Australian federal and state government but unfortunately none of these stimulus packages provide any benefits for the international students. Orange International College believes that all international students studying with us are part of the Orange Family.

Orange International College believes that in these tough and trying conditions we will walk hand in hand with our international student community. United we shall overcome this pandemic situation. Therefore, Orange International College has taken initiative to support our students. We hope that this initiative will lead other private education institutes to take steps to help international students. We understand that the Covid-19 global pandemic situation has led to shutdowns of many businesses and loss of employment. As per your enrolment conditions and visa conditions you must have enough funds to cover the cost of travel, living and course fees while studying in Australia. OIC understands that this situation is tough for everyone, OIC will consider any extension of date for fee payment on a case-by case basis.

Additionally, Orange International College will not charge any late fees to the students for the month of April 2020.

Your course has moved fully online due to unforeseen and difficult circumstances created by the outbreak of Covid-19 virus. We have taken this step to ensure your health and safety during the COVID-19 crisis period, by  facilitating you to continue with your studies on International Student Visa. However, if you are not satisfied with online training you may consider options mentioned under question no 5.

Due to the unforeseen circumstances regarding COVID-19, your training plan is under review and has  been adjusted by bringing forward the theory component of some/all units. The Practical component for all those units will be moved and  rescheduled to a later date as soon as it is considered safe to resume the face-to-face classes. You will be advised regarding the same. Therefore, any practical hours missed now will be added to your future classes, once we overcome the Covid-19 situation.
