International Cuisine Day was celebrated at Orange International College on 25th September, 2018. The event was organised by the Elicos Teaching Department and the International students.
Students presented foods that represented various societies. There were dishes from Italy, France, Israel, Japan, Korea, China, Malaysia, India, Vietnam, Czech Republic, Indonesia, Thailand, Greece, Macedonia, Taiwan… Students enjoyed the different tastes and they even, listened to music from their homeland, sang and danced.
Such a day is an opportunity to introduce cultures through international cuisines. We all learn best about different people and languages through first-hand experience. We learn through the experiences of touch, see, smell, hear and taste.
We will definitely repeat this event in the near future because it was great to see all students participate and have fun.
