The beginning of October had brought about the end of the winter term for our Certificate I class and the students had a lovely BBQ to celebrate it in Aussie style. The whole BBQ party was beautifully organized by Mark (Certificate I in EAL trainer/assessor).
The students came to school in the morning, finished their work, and once they were assured that all of their tasks were behind them, together, they embarked on a journey to the banks of the amazing nearby Yarra River. There, the students laughed and cheered; drank and ate, but most importantly, they practiced their English speaking skills.
Our diverse little Certificate I group had a blast.
Next term, some of the students will be back in class to continue their pursuit for better English language skills, and others will progress on to Certificate II. We wish all the best to all of them!
