Parties Involved with Orange College: Port Phillip Men Shed and Eco Centre

Duration: 29th May 2023-14th June 2023

Eco Centre Plant Protectors for Penguin Habitat

Orange College proudly partnered with Port Phillip Men’s Shed to support the Port Phillip Eco Centre’s conservation efforts in St Kilda. Together, we constructed nine plant guards designed to protect young vegetation from local wildlife, allowing the plants to grow undisturbed and establish strong root systems.

Once matured, these native plants will provide vital habitat and nesting material for St Kilda’s Little Penguins and other local wildlife. The Eco Centre expressed their appreciation for the contribution, and Orange College is honoured to play a role in supporting sustainability and protecting our coastal ecosystems.
