Academic Reading Workshop

We have seen a lot of development in our students with the help of the Academic Workshops. Throughout this lockdown we had quite a few student engagement activities targeted towards enhancing excellence through additional workshops.

The ELICOS Teachers at Orange International College created and conducted an Academic Reading workshop. This workshop was designed for students who are seeking to improve their reading skills, with an IELTS focused content along with awesome tips on reading essentials like Scanning, Skimming, Reading in detail and more.

As students prepare to progress with their studies at university level, they are expected to have a high level of content understanding in order to complete assignments. From experience one of the most common problems students face at university is that they are slow at reading and do not have the essential  comprehensive capabilities.This is why reading skills and improving them is essential for their future preparation.

To cater for our students’ academic reading work in English, OIC designed a workshop to help students improve their comprehensive capabilities.

The focus of the workshop was the following:

• IELTS Focused Content
