Meet Ivo Canello!

Ivo hails from Brazil and has now been flourishing in Australia for six years, who completed a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating at Orange in 2022 and is working as a supervisor in a local business, Dan Home Painting.

Currently, Ivo is working on domestic and commercial painting jobs, even some schools! What he loves about the job is organising and planning. “Today we are here, tomorrow we are somewhere else. As a supervisor, I need to organise other painters and allocate them to different jobs.”

“Absolutely, the Orange teachers are the best part about studying at Orange! They really make things happen.” It wasn’t just technical or practical aspects of the coursework that left an impression on Ivo, the most important lessons that have resonated with Ivo relate to attitude. “Always be honest. Always do things correctly”. Our trainers (at Orange) told us: “If you follow the procedures and rules, you will always do a good job and won’t have any problems.” Ivo tells us: “to do a great job you really need to take responsibility for your work and respect the client and your company.”

Ivo is a great example of a past student at Orange who is making a big contribution to his company and doing work that everyone can be proud of.
